We are currently supporting a large secondary school in the Knowsley area who are looking to recruit a Science teacher starting in January 2025. The position is initially for the remainder of the academic year but has the chance to become permanent for the right teacher. We are looking for a teacher to deliver KS3 & KS4 Science lessons to pupils who are eager to learn. The school has a strong Science department, so you will feel supported in this role.

Your New Role

Science Teacher teaching KS3 & KS4 Science. As you will be paid to scale from day 1, you will be required to plan and deliver work and ensure pupils are on task and achieving outcomes in every lesson. The school has an established Science department, so there is a scheme of work you will be able to use.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the class teacher that meets the needs of all students.
  • Follow the schools rewards and behaviour policy.
  • Be a good team member and willing to support other members of the department

Qualifications

  • A degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching at secondary school level.

Skills

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for working with young people
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
