We are currently supporting a secondary school in the Sefton area who are looking to recruit a Science teacher for the remainder of the academic year. This position could become permanent for the right candidate. The school is a good school, and you would be supported by a strong SLT and an established science department.

Your new role

Science teacher delivering KS3 & KS4 Science. Experience of A-level teaching would be desirable but not essential. You will be required to plan and deliver engaging lessons and ensure pupils are on task and achieve outcomes in every lesson.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the class teacher that meets the needs of all students.
  • Follow the schools rewards and behaviour policy.
  • Be flexible and willing to support across the school in different departments

Qualifications

  • A degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching at secondary school level.

Skills

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for working with young people
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
