Job Vacancy: Art Teacher - Secondary School in South Liverpool

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join one of our client secondary schools in South Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creative development of Key Stage 3 and 4 students and inspire a love for the arts within a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative art lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Foster students' creativity, encouraging them to develop their artistic skills and critical thinking.
  • Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Assess, monitor, and track students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Prepare students for examinations and coursework submissions, ensuring high academic standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the school to enhance the curriculum and student outcomes.
  • Ensure the classroom is well-organised and safe, adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching art in a secondary school setting, particularly at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong knowledge of the art curriculum and examination requirements (e.g., GCSE and BTEC).
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
  • Have a child workforce enhanced DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and patient approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to student development and a passion for the arts.
