Education Graduates - Teaching Assistant Roles in SEND Schools - Liverpool

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for Education Graduates to join SEND schools across Liverpool as Teaching Assistants. If you have an education-based degree, such as Education and Special Educational Needs, Early Childhood Studies, or Learning Development and Support, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

In this role, you'll provide essential support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), and physical disabilities. While a teaching qualification is not required, a background in education is essential for understanding how best to support these vulnerable students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with their learning in a variety of SEND school settings.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, tailored to the individual needs of the students.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement educational plans.
  • Support students in their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Encourage independence and positive learning outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A degree in an education-based subject (e.g., Education and Special Educational Needs, Early Childhood Studies, Learning Development and Support).
  • Passion for working with young people, especially those with SEND.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • No teaching degree required, but a background in education is essential.
