Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant and supportive team at a primary school in North Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, and the ability to inspire and support our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to groups of students under the direction of the class teacher

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to students and teachers

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement

  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays

  • Support students with special educational needs and/or disabilities

  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other activities as required

  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the class teacher or senior leadership team

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or equivalent

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting young learners

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and/or disabilities

  • Additional qualifications or training in relevant areas
