Tradewind Recruitment is excited to support a secondary school in their search for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to student's learning experience, supporting teaching staff and contributing to the overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons and supporting pupil's learning.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for students who may need additional help.
  • Help to create and maintain a positive and effective learning environment.
  • Support in planning, assessing, and recording student's progress.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and offer support to students with varied needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold HLTA qualifications (please note, applicants without HLTA qualifications will not be considered).
  • Experience working in a secondary school or similar educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum and ability to support students in a variety of subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to working with students.
