Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) – Year 4
Location:Â Toxeth, Liverpool
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday until Easter (4th April 2025)
Start Date:Â 27th January 2025
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to support our Year 4 class. As part of our dynamic teaching team, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students. You will provide small group and 1:1 support, helping pupils to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Teacher: Work alongside the class teacher to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.
- Classroom Support: Assist in the delivery of lessons, helping children with their tasks and ensuring they stay engaged.
- Intervention Support: Lead and support small group interventions to address specific learning needs.
- Monitoring Progress: Assist with assessment and record-keeping to track pupil progress.
- Behaviour Management: Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring the welfare and safety of all students.
- General Support: Provide general classroom management and support as needed.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (HLTA status).
- Have previous experience working with children in a classroom setting, ideally within Key Stage 2.
- Be confident in delivering group interventions and supporting a wide range of abilities.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be passionate about working with children and dedicated to helping them achieve their full potential.
- Be flexible, proactive, and eager to contribute to the wider school community.
