Residential Support Worker & Senior Residential Support Worker.
CH44 (Wirral) & Liverpool
£26,520 - £30,360 (Dependent on experience, number of sleeps, qualifications and position)

What would be expected from me as a Residential Support Worker?
· Be flexible to work shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep in’s. On average you would work 10 shifts (8am – 11pm) per month and between 6 -10 sleep ins.
· Be over the age of 21 and have the right to work in the UK.
· Be kind and caring with a good sense of humour, ability to develop relationships with our children and have a good work ethic to be prepared to work as a team player with your colleagues.
· Ideally have experience of working with or caring for children, as a support worker, but not essential, but more importantly having life skills from a range of backgrounds as we can train the rest.
· Being a team player and attending the necessary training courses as and when requested.
What is the role of a Residential Support Worker?
Supporting children/young people with their day-2-day tasks, such as:
· Supporting our young people with good routines, including being up on time for school and having a good breakfast inside them in order to engage in their education positively.
- Preparing evening meals and planning the evening with them, when they get home.
- Helping with homework and other after school activities.
- Encouraging young people to be involved in activities or to just relax and feel at home as part of developing their physical and mental health and wellbeing, from social and leisure activities and helping with hobbies such as football, netball, musical instruments or playing video games.
· Keeping up to date with recording and reporting in order for the home to run effectively and in compliance with the children’s homes regulations.
· Ensuring the house is kept clean and tidy so that everyone takes pride in the home.
