We are looking for a Family First Case Manager to work within our clients Family First service. This pivotal role contributes directly to our Early Help and Prevention Strategy and aligns closely with the national Supporting Families programme.

As a Family First Case Manager, you shall play a vital role in delivering intensive, coordinated multi-agency interventions to families presenting with complex and multifaceted needs. Your practice will be underpinned by a whole-family approach, ensuring that every member of the household is supported to thrive and flourish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake Early Help Assessments with a holistic lens, identifying the strengths and needs of the entire family unit.

  • Organise and chair Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings to co-ordinate appropriate support and intervention.

  • Develop, implement, and regularly review SMART action plans with families to ensure progress towards sustainable positive outcomes.

  • Carry out regular home visits and maintain a visible, supportive presence in the lives of families.

  • Conduct direct work with children and young people, tailoring support to their individual needs.

  • Maintain accurate, high-quality written records and reports, ensuring professional communication across all agencies.

  • Demonstrate exceptional safeguarding knowledge and act decisively to ensure the protection of children and vulnerable individuals.

  • Manage a complex caseload effectively, working within set timescales and to a high standard of care.

Essential Criteria:
  • Proven experience in a family support, social care, or early help setting.

  • Thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislative frameworks.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple agencies in a coordinated manner.
