We are seeking an Outreach Family Support Worker to join a pilot project within our clients Early Help Team in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to support children, young people, and their families in achieving positive outcomes through early intervention. The role involves providing outreach and home-based support, collaborating with multi-agency teams to meet the diverse needs of families in the local community.

  • £18.00 LTD per hour inclusive of holiday pay
  • 35 hours per week
  • 1 month initial contract with possibility of extension after this

Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to children, young people, and families in their home environment.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from Health, Education, Children's Centres, and other services to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
  • Deliver practical parenting strategies to assist families in achieving positive change.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals, ensuring clear and consistent information sharing.
  • Maintain accurate and reflective records in line with Recording with Care guidelines.
  • Work both independently and as part of a wider team to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Be flexible in working hours to meet the needs of the service.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, NND, or Health and Social Care qualification.
  • Proven experience in direct work with children, young people, and their families.
  • Experience in multi-agency working to support families and children's development.
  • Skilled in delivering outreach and home-based support to address identified needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and meet statutory recording requirements.
  • Strong team working skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car and laptop.

Desirable:

  • Ability to collaborate with parents and professionals to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Knowledge of child development and understanding of child protection issues.
  • Experience in delivering practical parenting strategies.
