Outreach Family Support Worker (Maternity Cover)

An experienced and compassionate Outreach Family Support Worker is required to cover maternity leave, providing vital support to children, young people, and families. This role involves delivering outreach and home-based interventions to address identified needs, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for families.

The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Child Care and Education, NND, or a Health and Social Care qualification. Experience in direct work with children and families, as well as multi-agency collaboration, is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to engage effectively with children, parents, and professionals from diverse backgrounds. The ability to maintain accurate and reflective records in line with professional guidelines is also a key part of this role.

The role requires a proactive individual who can work both independently and as part of a team across various services, including Health, Education, Children's Centres, and Family Support Services. The ability to offer practical parenting strategies, demonstrate knowledge of child development, and recognise signs of child protection concerns would be highly beneficial.

Flexibility is essential to support the overall operation of the service, ensuring that families receive the help they need when they need it. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a car, and be equipped with a laptop to effectively carry out their duties.
