INTERACTION HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE ARE LOOKING FOR SENIOR CARE WORKERS IN LIVERPOOL
Main Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Residential Childcare Worker SRCW) is responsible for ensuring that the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological, and social needs of our children are met consistently to a high standard. The SRCW will comply fully with all statutory and regulatory guidance in conjunction with SJ policies procedures and practices. Under the direction of the management team.
The SRCW will be expected to lead the day to day running of the shifts, shift leading and providing advice, guidance, and direction to the Residential Childcare Workers (RCW) within the home.
The SRCW will work on a shift pattern including days, evenings, waking nights (when/if required), weekends, bank holidays, sleeping-in duties and, subject to risk assessment, lone working.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Provide direct supervision to RCWs.
Implement SJs policies and procedures regarding Safeguarding and ChildProtection.
Ensure that SJs approach to childcare is embedded into practice.
Engage in probation, induction, supervision, staff meetings, learning and development and appraisal.
Model professional conduct in all aspects of the role.
Work in partnership with social workers, education, police, health, probation, and all other professionals in line with childrens needs and interests.
Support with the induction of RCWs that are new to the service, providing feedback to the management team.
Ensure that RCWs are aware and understand the needs of each young person in the home.
Take responsibility for planning shifts and ensuring their smooth running when on duty.
Provide consultation and informal advice and support to carers in relation to day-to-daymatters.
Offer 1:1 supervision to carers in line with Quality Standards & Regulations.
