We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist a young person with Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and autism. This role involves supporting the individual in the community, attending activities, and providing personal care. Day-to-day of the role:- Accompanying the young person to various activities within the community, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Assisting with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Engaging with the young person to foster a positive, supportive relationship.
- Monitoring and supporting the young person’s well-being and development.
- Adapting to the needs of the young person and providing tailored support.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working in a similar role in the UK, supporting individuals with GDD and autism.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with developmental delays and autism.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to the care and well-being of young people.
