Youth Support Worker - SEND Schools in Liverpool & Sefton

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Support Worker to join SEND schools across Liverpool and Sefton. In this rewarding role, you will be supporting some of the city's most vulnerable students in a Teaching Assistant capacity, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

You will be working closely with students with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), and physical disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's lives while gaining valuable experience in the SEND sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning and personal development.
  • Assist teachers in creating and maintaining an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with various additional needs.
  • Help with the development of social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
  • Encourage student's independence and provide guidance in their academic and personal growth.
  • Work alongside other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND, is desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable students.
  • Comfortable working with a range of additional needs and adapting to different learning styles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a cooperative team.
  • A passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
