Liverpool City Council is looking for a passionate Youth Worker to join our Targeted Services for Young People team. If you have experience in youth work and a commitment to making a difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver tailored programs for young people, both individually and in groups.
  • Represent young people's views and ensure their needs are met in service delivery.
  • Assess and deliver interventions based on young people's needs and work with families for integration into mainstream services.
  • Collaborate with statutory and voluntary partners to create positive opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records using the electronic recording system (e.g., Mosaic).
  • Promote equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices.
  • Support recruitment, training, and supervision of part-time staff and volunteers.
What We're Looking For:
  • Essential:

    • A nationally recognised Youth and Community Qualification (or equivalent).
    • Experience working with young people and delivering group/individual programs.
    • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with young people, including those displaying challenging behaviour.
  • Desirable:

    • Experience using electronic recording systems.
    • Commitment to continuous development and learning.
