We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour Officer in Liverpool on an ongoing, temporary contract paying up to £24ph. This is a full-time, 35 hour per week role with hybrid working.

Your new role

  • Investigating and resolving cases of nuisance, tenancy breaches and ASB within your area using a range of legal remedies to provide effective resolutions
  • Preparing pre-court paperwork and all court applications including affidavits, injunctions and possession proceedings
  • Self-representing at court in cases where required and representing the group at liaison meetings
  • Responding to complaints and queries from local Councillors
  • Visiting victims, perpetrators and witnesses, ensuring evidence and witness statements are collected to prepare legal cases
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders within the community to enable a strong multi-agency approach to ASB case resolution

What you'll need to succeed

  • Good knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy/housing management including ASB, crime and disorder, compliance and sector best practice
  • Familiar with relevant legal paperwork and experience of taking witness statements & liaising with legal experts
  • Good level of experience in legal processes where representation is required, including hearings and pleadings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills
