Position: Counselling Lecturer Location: Greater Manchester Hours: full time - 36 hours per week paid Salary: £30 per hour Eden Brown are looking for a Counselling lecturer on behalf of a leading College in Greater Manchester. This is a full time, temporary on-going role. As a Temporary Counselling Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across our counselling programs, ensuring students are equipped with the academic knowledge, practical skills, and ethical understanding necessary for a successful career in counselling. You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing modules, as well as offering academic guidance and support to students. Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging and inspiring lectures and workshops to counselling students * Develop and update course materials to reflect current trends and practices in counselling * Provide academic support and mentorship to students * Mark assignments, provide constructive feedback, and ensure timely grading * Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the success and continuous improvement of the counselling program * Maintain records of students' progress and participate in course evaluation and development activities Qualifications and Experience * A recognised qualification in Counselling (minimum Level 4 or above) * Professional membership with a recognised body (e.g., BACP, UKCP) * Proven experience as a practising counsellor * Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one * Previous teaching experience * Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills A DBS will be needed for this role, if you do not have a current DBS Eden Brown can apply for one on your behalf.
