This position offers you the opportunity to make a real difference to residents' lives by supporting housing needs, managing tenancy matters, and contributing to neighbourhood well-being. Your work will directly influence housing services, from managing rent and benefits to working on community regeneration projects.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on tenancy matters, welfare benefits, and rehousing requests.
  • Assist tenants with support needs to help them sustain their tenancies.
  • Support the Property Services Manager with void turnaround targets and the lettings process.
  • Assess housing applicants and manage allocations in line with the Lettings Policy.
  • Ensure tenancy terminations and new lettings comply with policy and targets.
  • Work to resolve tenant disputes and enforce tenancy conditions in collaboration with the Housing Management team.
  • Assist with legal action to enforce tenancy conditions when necessary.
  • Conduct estate inspections, monitor repairs, and liaise with colleagues to improve the environment.
  • Promote tenant engagement in service delivery and decision-making.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a housing management role or knowledge of tenancy law is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service experience, with a proven ability to work effectively with the public.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the community.
