We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Independent Living Scheme Manager on an ongoing basis with temp to perm potential in the coming months. This is a full-time, 35-hour per-week contract with hourly rates of up to £18.94 per hour.

Your new role

  • Maintaining scheme compliance with health & safety legislation, carrying out risk assessments and periodic checks/inspections, reporting and managing incidents on scheme
  • Housing and tenancy management tasks including enforcement, low level ASB management, allocations, lettings and sign ups
  • Morning welfare calls to vulnerable tenants, maintaining an on-site presents and identifying any housing management or customer wellbeing concerns
  • Arranging, leading and promoting customer meetings, listening and responding to feedback as well as informal complaints
  • Providing basic advice and guidance in relation to housing/tenancy issues, benefit and rent queries

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience of carrying out housing & tenancy management functions in a similar role, ideally having worked with vulnerable and older people
  • Knowledge and understanding of welfare reform with the ability to provide basic guidance and support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle
