Liverpool is looking for a Deputy Team Manager for their Fostering Service. This is a hybrid working role with an hourly rate of £38 p/h. They are looking for experienced Deputy Manager in Fostering.

Responsabilities :

  • Assist the team manager in overseeing the daily operations of the fostering team, ensuring effective service delivery.

  • Provide supervision, support, and guidance to social workers within the team, helping them manage their caseloads effectively.

  • Monitor and review the performance of team members, conducting appraisals and addressing any areas for development or improvement.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices within the fostering team.

  • Assist in the allocation of cases and ensure that workloads are balanced and managed efficiently across the team.

  • Lead team meetings and case discussions, facilitating collaboration and information sharing among team members.

  • Support the recruitment, assessment, and approval processes for new foster carers, ensuring timely and thorough evaluations.

  • Handle complex cases and provide decision-making support to social workers, especially in challenging or high-risk situations.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

  • Liaise with external agencies and partners, fostering strong working relationships to support the needs of children and foster families.

  • Step in for the team manager when needed, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making within the team.

  • Contribute to the training and development of the fostering team, identifying skill gaps and arranging relevant training opportunities.
