We are looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Officer on an ongoing, temporary basis on behalf of our client who are a well-established housing association in Merseyside. This is a full-time post, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday and will be office based. Your new role
- Manage your own caseload of domestic abuse cases, providing high-quality housing related support & advice to victims and survivors of domestic abuse
- Completing DASH & MERIT risk assessments and making appropriate external referrals
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies
- Representing the group at MARAC, MARAM and Child Protection meetings
- Recording and updating risk assessments, support plans and interventions
- Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns
- Providing practical advice and guidance in relation to housing, health and finance
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of working in the social housing sector, working & engaging with people and families suffering from domestic abuse and knowledge of relevant legislation/best practice
- Experience of completing assessments and developing support plans
- Experience of managing crisis and making decisions in difficult situations
- Experience and understanding of DASH/MERIT risk assessments
