We are looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Officer on an ongoing, temporary basis on behalf of our client who are a well-established housing association in Merseyside. This is a full-time post, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday and will be office based. Your new role

  • Manage your own caseload of domestic abuse cases, providing high-quality housing related support & advice to victims and survivors of domestic abuse
  • Completing DASH & MERIT risk assessments and making appropriate external referrals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies
  • Representing the group at MARAC, MARAM and Child Protection meetings
  • Recording and updating risk assessments, support plans and interventions
  • Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns
  • Providing practical advice and guidance in relation to housing, health and finance

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of working in the social housing sector, working & engaging with people and families suffering from domestic abuse and knowledge of relevant legislation/best practice
  • Experience of completing assessments and developing support plans
  • Experience of managing crisis and making decisions in difficult situations
  • Experience and understanding of DASH/MERIT risk assessments
