Participation Lead, £42ph, Corporate Parenting Children’s Services, LiverpoolPertemps are recruiting for an experienced Participation Lead to join the Corporate Parenting Service as part of a service review. In this vital role, the postholder will take the lead in participation of children and young people within the Children and Young People’s Directorate. They will work with others to deliver the outcomes of the Participation Strategy and support children to learn self-expression, empowerment and have a real influence on the type and quality of service they receive. Key responsibilities include:
  • To oversee and coordinate the current participation activity within the service which involves children and young people directorate.
  • To oversee and coordinate the implementation of Mind of My Own within the service.
  • To support the effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers in the corporate parenting committee.
  • To provide meaningful feedback to children in care and care leavers on the outcomes of consultations and other activities.
  • To drive the recruitment and support of the Young Ambassadors activity.
Hybrid working - at least 2 days on site per weekRole requirements:
  • Professional qualification in Social Work (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, CQSW as required by Social Work England
  • Strong proven experience in working in a leadership role in Children's Services.
  • Key skills in improving service quality, delivering an effective quality assurance framework
  • Experience in project management and can confidently write complex reports and policy documents.
  • Collaboration and communication is key in this role, with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
