Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Liverpool City Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children's team as a Deputy Manager. This is a full time role, offering £44 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Be confident in the application of all legal proceedings and legal frameworks, with a robust understanding of young people's whole journey through the care system.
  • Must be experienced in promoting stable placements and implement positive long-term change and improvements, supporting with clear pathway planning
  • Will support a high-performance culture within the team, with consistent good practice across the team.
  • Will actively support the team manager in decision making, chairing meetings and actively working in partnership with partners/multi-agencies, particularly Housing, Health and Education, to be able to advocate for our young people to secure the access to the services that they need.
  • Will support all recruitment, induction, training and effective supervision of all team members, championing professional career development.
  • Will be a Practice Educator.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England Registered
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Social Work Degree or equivalent

Experience:

  • Children
  • Practice Educator
