Knowsley Council's Child Protection Team is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families in need of intervention and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of child protection and children in need cases.
- Conduct Section 47 investigations and other risk assessments.
- Develop and implement child protection plans and safety plans.
- Attend and contribute to case conferences, core groups, and court proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in child protection or statutory children's services.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory requirements.
- Excellent assessment, analytic, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
