An experienced Deputy Team Manager is required in Fostering Families and Friends Assessment Service, and the successful candidate must have proven track record in Fostering, and previously worked as a Deputy Team Manager.The role will include supporting the Team Manager to manage a diversely skilled social work team, supporting and promoting good quality practice and performance. The candidate will be confident in making clear and accurate decisions to improve outcomes for children and young people and maintaining stable foster care placements. They must be used to working at pace with preparation for Ofsted Monitoring Visits and in line with our improvement plan.Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
