Team Manager, Care Experienced Team, MerseysideRole Overview:Pertemps is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead, develop, and manage a Personal Advisors Team within the Care Experienced Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality services that address the needs of care-experienced young people, leading to improved outcomes while ensuring value for money and statutory compliance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Personal Advisors supporting care-experienced young people.
  • Ensure service delivery meets statutory obligations and supports young people in achieving positive outcomes.
  • Oversee resource allocation and decision-making for operational matters.
  • Develop and implement best practice models to improve service quality and effectiveness.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development for team members.
  • Work in partnership with multi-agency teams, local services, and stakeholders to ensure seamless support for care leavers.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance, outcomes, and service effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration.
  • Previous management experience within a Leaving Care, Children’s Social Care, or Personal Advisors Team.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and best practices related to care-experienced young people.
  • Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and service development.
  • Ability to make key decisions in relation to service delivery and operational matters.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
