Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Child Protection Social Worker to join our team in Liverpool. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing child protection cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. You'll work closely with children, families, and multi-agency teams, conducting safeguarding investigations, providing support, and ensuring all practices meet statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:-
Child Protection Assessments:Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify safeguarding risks, develop protection plans, and implement interventions tailored to the needs of children and families.

Case Management:Manage a caseload of child protection cases, ensuring timely updates and reviews of care plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.

Safeguarding Investigations:Lead investigations into safeguarding concerns, gathering evidence and working with relevant agencies to protect children at risk.

Court Work and Legal Support:Prepare reports and attend court hearings. Represent the local authority in child protection cases and provide recommendations that serve the child's best interests.

Multi-Agency Collaboration:Work closely with schools, healthcare providers, police, and other social services to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.

Report Writing:Write detailed reports for case conferences, court proceedings, and internal documentation, ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards.

Qualifications:A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA or MA in Social Work) and current Social Work England registration.

Experience:Proven experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation.

Skills:Excellent communication, report writing, and case management skills. Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to manage a high caseload effectively.

Knowledge:Extensive knowledge of child protection laws, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, as well as safeguarding frameworks.
