Job Title: Power Platform Developer
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
Location: Liverpool
Job Purpose
Utilise expertise in Microsoft Power Platform to extend and enhance the functionality of the CRM system, Business Central, and any other applications used by the business. Design, develop, and deploy Power Platform solutions to streamline business processes, improve efficiency, and integrate with Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
Specific Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate flows, Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), and Power BI dashboards.
- Implement and optimise Microsoft Dynamics 365 workflows, plugins, and customisations to improve business efficiency.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure services, SharePoint, and third-party APIs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of native Power Platform features and determine when to use them over custom development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Platform applications, integrations, and automation workflows.
- Determine when Microsoft Power Platform is not the best solution for a business problem and propose viable alternatives.
- Provide expertise and support to IT management and other teams to ensure optimal implementation and usage of Power Platform solutions.
- Design end-to-end solutions that enhance collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing across the business.
- Monitor, analyse, and act on key analytics to continually improve CRM systems and other business applications.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and create release notes for new features and updates.
- Assist the Finance & IT Director, CTO and Lead Developer on ad hoc projects as needed.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Power Automate, including UI and API-based flows.
- Expertise in Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps) and their customisation, configuration, and integration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 workflows, plugins, and customisations.
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, and external APIs.
- Knowledge of Dataverse (Common Data Service - CDS) for data modelling and integration.
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, and Power Platform connectors.
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Functions.
- Understanding of DevOps practices for Power Platform.
- Ability to collect and identify functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
