Job Description: SEND Learning Support Assistant

Overview: Prospero Teaching are actively seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Litherland. This pivotal role involves providing specialised 1:1 support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically those experiencing challenging behaviour, ADHD, and autism. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of students with SEND.
  • Assist in planning and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Provide two professional references related to childcare.
