Job Description
Prospero Teaching is currently looking for a Sports Coach to transition into an SEN Teaching Assistant role in a specialist SEN school in Crosby, Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for Sports Coaching graduates or individuals with a background in coaching who are looking to apply their skills to support children with special educational needs (SEN), SEMH, Autism, and other learning difficulties.

Sports Coaches often make excellent SEN Teaching Assistants due to their ability to build strong relationships, maintain high energy levels, and engage students through physical activity. The role will involve working closely with children who require additional behavioural and emotional support, using movement, structure, and positive reinforcement to help them thrive in a school setting.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications
A degree in Sports Coaching, Physical Education, or a related field is desirable
Experience coaching or working with children with SEN, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
Strong behaviour management and engagement skills
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to working with students
A DBS certificate registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Right to work in the UK

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
