Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team at an SEN school based in Knowsley. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Support students in developing social skills and independence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
