SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-time)

£12.83 - £15 per-hour (depending on experience)

This small and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Wavertree, Liverpool are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join this well established and successfull team. The role will be based in the school's SEN room setting, supporting a pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis and assisting the class teacher in delivering a high standard of education and care. There some behavioural issues, so experience dealing with challenging behaviour is essential. The school prides itself on its strong sense of community and commitment to providing a supportive environment for both pupils and staff. They are currently seeking the right candidate to join the team on a long-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff for the right fit. Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Assist the teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and educational development
- Relevant qualifications or proven experience in a similar role
- A positive attitude, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability
