Role Overview:We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join our inclusive and dynamic team. As an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students who have a variety of learning challenges, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other developmental or physical disabilities. You will be responsible for creating and delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of your students while fostering an environment of support, patience, and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN.

  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, staff, and other professionals.

  • Provide one-on-one and group support for students both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Implement strategies for managing behavior and promoting social and emotional development.

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to each student's learning.

  • Monitor and record student progress, offering feedback and adjustments as necessary.

  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.

  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN and how to address them effectively.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.

  • Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
