About the Role: As an SEND Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, tailored education to students with special educational needs. You will work closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEND students
  • Develop and implement personalised education plans (EHCPs) to support student's progress
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to provide effective interventions
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Monitor and assess student's progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary
  • Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND teaching
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
  • A passion for working with students who have diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching and learning
  • Dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
