Job Purpose:

My client seeks an Energy and Sustainability Manager to take responsibility for the strategic and operational direction of their 13,000 property Social Housing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Funding and Project Management: Source and bid for energy improvement funding (Social Housing Decarbonisation Funding, ECO4).
  • EPC Band C Target: Lead efforts to achieve EPC band C for our clients properties by 2030..
  • Sustainability Index: Oversee the Sustainability Index to ensure long-term viability of properties.
  • Legislation and Strategy: Stay updated on government legislation, policies, and targets; developing energy and sustainability strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Promote energy efficiency and net zero carbon initiatives to tenants, leaseholders, and other stakeholders..
  • Advice and Guidance: Offer energy efficiency and sustainability advice to reduce fuel poverty and improve energy efficiency.
  • Energy Data Management: Collect, record, and maintain up-to-date energy data for residential assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant Construction Qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or Energy Qualification (DEA, Retrofit Advice/Assessment/Coordinator).
  • Experience in managing within the energy, sustainability or housing sector.
  • Experience in bidding for SHDF / ECO4.
  • Understanding of energy, sustainability, construction (e.g., retrofitting), and housing.
