DescriptionWe are looking for an engineer to play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of this production facility in Liverpool. This position is ideal for a proactive and skilled maintenance professional seeking to contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment within the food manufacturing sector. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of our production lines, ensuring high-quality output and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and undertake repairs in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure minimal downtime and adherence to production schedules.
- Install, commission, and maintain new equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work using our electronic maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and foster a safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience working in a similar maintenance role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Competency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Flexibility to work shifts and respond to out-of-hours emergencies if required.
