My client is seeking an experienced Highways Health & Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across local authority projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to ensure that critical infrastructure projects are delivered safely and in compliance with regulations.
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
- Develop and implement robust health & safety policies, ensuring all practices align with legislative requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and site inspections, identifying potential hazards and implementing preventative measures.
- Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, and project teams to foster a strong safety culture.
- Provide expert advice on health & safety during the planning, design, and execution stages of highways projects.
- Lead investigations into accidents or incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken and lessons are applied moving forward.
 
 Candidate Requirements:
 
- Proven track record in health & safety management within the highways or infrastructure sector.
- In-depth knowledge of UK health & safety regulations.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
