Position: Transport Planner

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 08:00-16:00 / 09:00-17:00

Salary: Up to 35,000

Our client seeks an experienced temperature-controlled Transport Planner to join their reputable team. Our client has been running for over 100 years and in Logistics since the 1970's and has become a unique European Shipping and Logistics provider. Our client believes in investing in their staff and offering clear progression routes.

This role will suit an experienced Transport Planner with solid knowledge of refrigerated loads.

Your key responsibilities as a Transport Planner:

Routing and scheduling HGV vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation
Arranging backloads and reducing empty mileage
Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK
Dispatching and debriefing drivers
Solid WTD knowledge
Liasing with agencies to book drivers
Hands on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents
Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively
Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so good attention to detail is required to ensure the accuracy of information
Maintaining company policies and procedures

Requirements:

3-4 years planning experience essential
CPC Certificate desirable
Obtaining backloads experience
Knowledge of TMS system
Working 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota
