Are you a hands-on Maintenance Manager with a passion for leading multi-disciplined teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment?

We are looking for a strong leader to join a thriving plastics manufacturing company and take charge of the engineering function, driving operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and manage a multi-skilled maintenance team ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
  • Oversee day to day maintenance operations ensuring plant, equipment and facilities run at peak efficiency
  • Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, delivering on time and within budget
  • Implement and refine Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) programs to minimise downtime.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Manager contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement and maximise plant performance

Skills/Experience required:

  • Qualified Electrical/Mechanical Engineer (HNC/HND/Degree)
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of plastics manufacturing or extrusion processes preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • In-depth knowledge of pumps, conveyors, motors, drives, hydraulics and heating/cooling systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in Capex project management and delivering results
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations
