Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with Pivot-Steer experience? Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join their team as a Warehouse Operative on a temporary 6 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class results and be a part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse operations. Collaborating closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and other team members, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks including picking, loading, dispatching, stock take, and adjustments. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to effectively liaise with the customer service team to address any issues that may impact customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a tidy, clean, and safe working area, adhering to safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Perform quality and safety checks to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
  • Operate a pivot steer truck to pick and load orders efficiently.
  • Intake raw materials and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address any safety and quality concerns, acting upon them promptly.
  • Load trucks using Bendi/Flex truck, utilising ramp and curtain side trucks.
  • Adhere to key standard routines and follow all standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly to changing needs.
  • Previous warehouse experience using a CMDB system is essential.
  • Bendi/Flexi Truck Qualification required
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation.
  • Basic IT skills are necessary.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing within a continuous process environment.
  • Knowledge of oils & fats.

Working Hours: It is shift patterns working- 6am-2pm and 10pm-6am. Pay rate is £15 per hour.
