This position is accountable for oversight of quality control activities at Liversedge. The Quality Engineer ensures that the site operates within and maintains its ISO quality standard so that our products meet the needs of our customer in all aspects relating to quality standards and specification.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the safety culture and company's values within the Quality team.
  • Liaise with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and other functional support departments to resolve quality problems.
  • Maintain and further develop the Quality Management System in line with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Customer Specifications, and Test methods.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and lead / assist in preparing for external audits.
  • Track and report on key quality metrics, such as defect rates, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Support cross-functional teams in implementing quality initiatives and resolving quality-related problems.
  • Developing QM pillar to deliver TPM programme across the site.
  • Analyse production and operational processes to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and improve KPI's and KAI's.

Profile

A successful Quality Engineer should have:

  • Knowledge of P/FMEA, Control Plan, Capability Studies, Gauge R&R, MSA, etc.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Logical problem-solving experience using Is-Is Not, Ishikawa, 5 Why's, Action Plans, etc.
  • Good communication/influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and tools such as statistical process control (SPC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, passionate and approachable.
