Part of the major American corporation, PCC, we are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to our prestigious blue-chip customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Design Engineer to join our Design and Industrial Engineering team based in Livingston. Candidates should have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 4 years relevant experience gained within an engineering business.

The role will be responsible for the design of forgings, tools and dies to meet customer requirements and within the Company's capabilities. This will involve the production of all necessary drawings and documentation to support, as well as the recommendation and implementation of any system modifications. The role is also responsible for compiling working manuals and records to allow forging operations to be effectively carried out.

Candidates should have prior experience within a design role, strong knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Creo) and Forge Simulation. Familiarity with metals and basic metallurgy knowledge would be advantageous and you must have strong IT skills, to include Mini Tab and preferably Power BI.

You will need to be organised, confident, energetic and enthusiastic, with a flexible approach to working. You must also have outstanding communication skills, be goal oriented with a positive working attitude.
