Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join a client at a leading manufacturer within the aerospace and defence market. The successful candidate will support the Engineering Manager and contribute to process improvements, ensuring all work meets customer expectations on delivery and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Engineering Manager in various tasks
  • Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements
  • Ensure all work meets internal and external customer expectations regarding delivery and quality
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements

Key Area Responsibilities:

  • Analyse technical drawings and 3D models of production parts and tooling to create CNC programs
  • Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines, optimizing for efficiency
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
  • Select appropriate tools for cutting specific materials and program machines accordingly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines as they arise
  • Assist new employees in properly operating and setting up CNC machines and programs
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by the management team

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience in CNC Programming and working in a manufacturing setting is required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and 3D models
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Experience with Creo software is advantageous
  • Experience in optimising CNC programs is advantageous

Working Hours:Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:15pm and Friday 8am to 3pm (on site)
