Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing company, is looking for a CMM Supervisor to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring that machining processes are completed to design specifications and meet all quality requirements within a manufacturing and repair environment. We will consider permanent or someone on a contract basis

The Role:

As a CMM Supervisor, you will lead the dimensional inspection team, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining high standards of safety, cost control, and quality. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the dimensional inspection team to meet production and quality demands.

  • Operating dimensional equipment, including Romer/Faro arms, projectors, height gauges, and micrometres.

  • Reviewing and verifying CMM inspection reports as needed.

  • Creating, reviewing, testing, and validating CMM programs before release for inspection or production.

  • Training dimensional inspectors and CMM operators.

  • Monitoring machine shop activities, ensuring accurate and complete documentation for the QA department.

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

  • Collaborating with internal departments to enhance service and communication.

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment and proficiency in CMM Programming and Inspection using PC-DMIS software. They should have a strong ability to prioritise work, ensuring productivity and quality, along with experience in team management and leadership. Excellent communication skills are also essential.
