My client is a global engineering organization seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for their site near Livingston.
The position requires candidates to have ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline and experience in a repair, maintenance, or assembly environment.
The role involves a day shift pattern of 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:00 and Friday from 07:30 to 13:00.
Candidates should possess knowledge of assembly and test procedures, particularly for pressure-retaining equipment, and be able to interpret engineering drawings.

My client is a global engineering organisation that provides leading products and solutions to clients within the O&G, Marine, Industrial and Renewable industries.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter for their site near Livingston. The site is commutable from the majority of Glasgow, Stirling, Fife and Edinburgh.

Shift Pattern - this role will be dayshift (37.5 hrs per week). Mon - Thurs: 0730-1600; and Friday: 0730-1300

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance to company HS&E Policies and risk assessments at all times
Ensure Quality of work produced is of a high standard and in compliance with all relevant documentation
Knowledge of assembly and test procedures, in particular pressure retaining equipment
Ensure the department has a clear understanding of work instructions, whilst maintaining health & safety practices.
Take a proactive role in assigned tasks to improve delivery performance e.g. new methods, new tooling etc
Efficient use of time to maximise output

Qualifications & Experience Required:

ONC/HNC Engineering discipline advantageous as well as experience in a Repair/Maintenance/Assembly environment
Knowledge of maintenance/welding/pressure testing principles, concepts, theories and practices
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings essential
General fabrication work would be advantageous
