Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Livingston, is seeking to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team.
This position is shift-based, including dayshift, backshift, and nightshift, with 8-hour shifts and no weekend rotation work.
The role involves fault finding and diagnostics during emergency breakdowns or planned maintenance situations, along with machinery modification and improvement.
Candidates should possess excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with an apprentice training or HNC/equivalent qualification in a mechanical discipline.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is beneficial, and the salary for this position is competitive, though specific figures were not provided.

The Role:

Working with a planned maintenance system and reactive maintenance
Modification and improvement of machinery and the plant

The Candidate:

Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills,
Apprentice trained/HNC or equivalent qualification in a mechanical qualification
Experience with pneumatics & hydraulics would be beneficial
