Description
- Oversee the regular servicing and maintenance of machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and fix faults.
- Document maintenance work and machine downtime.
- Communicate with other departmental staff to ensure machinery is operational and efficient.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Train other staff members on equipment operations and safe handling procedures.
- Participate in the development of maintenance strategies.
Profile
A successful Shift Maintenance Engineer should have:
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining industrial machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Responsible for the effective use of time and utilities to achieve Overall Equipment Effectiveness targets.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Exceptional communication and training skills.
- Active participation in site inspections and safety initiatives.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Work with Engineer Supervisor to prioritise work orders.
