My client is a global engineering organisation that provides leading products and solutions to clients within the O&G, Marine, Industrial and Renewable industries.

They are currently looking to recruit a QC Chargehand for their site near Livingston. The site is commutable from the majority of Glasgow, Stirling, Fife and Edinburgh.


The successful QC Chargehand will conduct and oversee inspection activities within the Inspection department to ensure the quality of received goods and all machined, fabricated and welded products.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspection activities as required
  • Ensure good working practices are implemented and maintained
  • Oversee the allocation of work to the inspection team to support the various operations within the company
  • Responsible for the co-ordinating of cover for inspectors within the department
  • Ensure that all inspection records are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure the verification, monitoring and logging of equipment, traceability and calibration
  • Oversee final inspection of parts leaving the facility
  • Liaise with fabrication, machine shop, and assembly departments to ensure productivity is maximised and production requirements are met

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience within a similar engineering environment and role required
  • Certified (PCN, CSWIP, ICorr) in Inspection and NDT processes - MPI, LPI, UT, Coating Inspection, Weld (at least 2 of these)
