A well-established and growing Equipment Hire Business with a presence across diverse industries is seeking a motivated and experienced Depot Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of their depot on a full-time permanent basis.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, safe, and profitable management of depot activities.

Key responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Overseeing the efficient day-to-day running of the depot, ensuring operations are managed effectively and targets are consistently met.
  • Leading, motivating, and organising the depot team to achieve high standards of performance and customer service.
  • Maintaining and enforcing all workplace safety standards and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Ensuring the depot achieves its financial and operational contribution targets while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Managing and prioritising the daily workload, allocating resources efficiently to meet demand

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Depot Manager or Branch Manager, with a track record of successfully managing a team in a similar environment.
  • A strong understanding of one or more sectors such as plant hire, tool hire, powered access, trenching and shoring, lifting, power generation, accommodation, or other specialist equipment hire.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of health and safety best practices.
